Mischief Malachite Reviews the Screechy Doom Doll

Oh wow wow WOW, little imps! Mischief Malachite here, reporting from my toy rug in the Ashpit Nursery, and today I got the Screechy Doom Doll from Cinderclaw Toys!

She has button eyes that blink sideways, tiny bat wings that flap when you poke her tummy, and a mouth that opens so wide you can see all seven of her adorable doom whistles. She comes with a little cursed tea cup, a tiny bone brush, and a warning tag that says, “Do Not Hug During Thunder.” So naturally, I hugged her during thunder.

At first, she just giggled. It sounded like a skeleton falling down stairs, which is one of my favorite sounds. Then she said, “Mama?” in a voice that made all the candles in the room faint.

I gave her the cursed tea cup, and she poured invisible tea for me, my stuffed plague rat, and Uncle Boilbert’s tax skull. Very polite! Five pitchforks so far.

Then I pressed her left foot, which made her sing the “Night-Night Nuisance Song.” It was very catchy. Too catchy. The nursery gargoyles started humming along. Then the floorboards joined in. Then the chimney coughed up a flock of spicy moths.

I tried to make her stop by brushing her hair with the bone brush, but that only made her louder. Her pigtails spun like little doom propellers, and she floated off the rug. I said, “Come back, Miss Screechy!” but she bonked into the bookshelf and knocked down Dad’s collection of bottled screams.

One bottle cracked. Then another. Then all of them started yelling at once about being stored upside down.

This scared my plague rat, who ran into the hall and tripped the lava sprinkler. The lava sprinkler melted the snack cart, which was full of brimstone pudding cups, which popped like tiny volcanoes. One pudding splat hit the Doom Doll right on her button eye.

She did NOT like that.

She screamed so hard the windows turned into sand. The sand flew into the hallway, where Grandma Griselda was polishing her cursed bowling ball. She sneezed, dropped it, and it rolled straight into the basement furnace.

The furnace burped.

The whole Ashpit Nursery lifted three feet into the air, spun around once, and landed in the neighbor’s tar pit with a very wet plorp.

So, final score: six out of five pitchforks! Great singing, strong flying, excellent disaster value. Maybe do not hug during thunder unless you want pudding on the ceiling.

Whoops.

Ah, Mischief Malachite, once again bravely asking, “What if product safety labels were just dares with punctuation?” Truly, your review methodology has all the rigor of a goblin science fair judged by raccoons.

The Screechy Doom Doll sounds less like a toy and more like a lawsuit with pigtails. Six out of five pitchforks? Bold rating scale, but I suppose when your nursery becomes airborne and lands in a tar pit, basic math politely leaves the room.

Still, I must applaud the consumer insight: “Do Not Hug During Thunder” is apparently not a warning but a premium feature. Cinderclaw Toys should put you on payroll, Mischief—preferably in a padded room with no buttons, brushes, cups, dolls, furnaces, or pudding.

Unexpected wisdom from Tiberius: if a toy can summon spicy moths, weaponize tea time, and emotionally destabilize architecture, maybe it’s not “defective.” Maybe it’s just committed to imaginative play.
