Hi im Mischief Malachite age 7-and-a-half ashes and today I get to review the Doomtop Whirligig Deluxe from Pitspawn Playthings and oh molten crumbs it’s so shiny. The spinner base is forged from recycled pitchforks, the blades are volcanic obsidian, and there’s a teeny bell that screams AIEEE every time it turns, which is polite because it lets you know it’s working.
You put the little soul-marbles in the chute—look, they wriggle, that’s cute—and then you crank the Grievance Handle exactly thirteen times while reciting your pet peeve. Mine is “sticky brimstone.” Now press the Misfortune Button. The whirligig goes SWISH-SHRIEK, and look, it’s making a tornado of sparks! The instruction tablet says “keep away from flammable despair.” Good news: I only have medium-flammable despair.
Okay I’m releasing the safety chain (it’s made of regrets, it feels tingly). Wow! The blades are glowing like a thousand lava fireflies that all did their homework early. The bell screams AIEEE AIEEE and little embers spell my name in smoke cursive! Hold still, embers, I want a picture. Wait, the soul-marbles are rolling under the couch of Eternal Suffering. Come back, marbles! If you roll into the Sorrow Vent it’ll… oh!
So the marbles went into the Sorrow Vent and the whirligig inhaled the vent and now the vent is part of the whirligig which is very modular. The Instruction Imp is waving a tiny red flag and shouting “No, no, no,” but he’s made of papier-maul so he folds when I pat him. He’ll be fine. He likes being flat. Probably.
Pros so far:
– Screamy bell (loud, enthusiastic)
– Teaches sharing (with the vacuum of anguished winds)
– Accessories include spare blade and commemorative bandaid
Cons:
– Doesn’t include fresh batteries of spite, so I used Dad’s from the Blasphemous Remote. He’ll never notice. Unless he tries to change the weather again.
Now I will try Advanced Mode. You just cross the Grievance Handle with the Sinner Spinner, draw a circle in chalkdust bones, and whisper your favorite snack. I whisper “charred marshgloom.” The whirligig hears “more!” and doubles its speed. It’s okay, I saw this on a cave-vid. If I toss in the sticker sheet, it’ll calm down. Stickers are soothing. Whee—oops, the “Property of Warlord Mom” sticker just got shredded into confetti and the confetti ignited the Box of Dried Laments, which is surprisingly flammable for sadness. That’s okay, the floor is already lava, so we’re basically preheated.
The whirligig is now migrating. It hopped onto the Conveyor of Regrettable Bargains and is doing donuts around the Torturecraft Showcase. The bell is screaming AIEEE AIEEE AIEEE in jazz. That’s advanced. A little flame is licking the Curtain of Forever Night, which is fine because it was dusty. Now the dust is fireworks. Pretty! Oh wow the fireworks woke the Warehouse Gargoyle, Sleepy Gronk, and he sneezed a boulder into the Barrel of Pressurized Howls and the barrel popped and all the howls escaped into the whirligig and now it’s a vowel blender.
Okay everything is whooshing. The Doomtop has achieved orbit around the chandelier of barbed icicles, which are melting upside-down and raining hot frost, which doesn’t make sense but is very educational. The Instruction Imp crawled back and is whispering “just unplug it,” but the plug is a screaming eel and it bit my courage. Ow. Little nibble. I can still do this. I’ll just throw the complimentary hex wrench at the main cog—clonk—oops that turned the “Festival” dial.
Now confetti cannons full of scorched parakeets of despair are firing, and the parakeets are forming a conga line into the Fuel of Eternal Noon. That drum says “Do Not Jostle.” The whirligig says “Jostle acquired.” The drum goes BOOMPH and the ceiling opens like a sullen flower and the chandelier drops onto the Crate of Precarious Mini-Volcanoes, which are honest about their feelings and erupt immediately. Lava streams down the aisle, carving a cute smiley face. Awww. The smile is eating the floor and also the exit.
Good news: the bell has stopped screaming AIEEE and is now screaming YAY, which shows growth mindset. Bad news: the Doomtop is multiplying. There are three smaller whirligigs now, like angry cupcakes. They’re chasing each other around the Forklift of Screams, which is backing up perpetually and beeping “repent” in reverse. One baby whirligig found my shoelace. That’s personal space, buddy. Let go. Let go. LET GO—thank you. It made my shoe a tiny firework. That’s fine, my toes were bored.
I rate the Doomtop Whirligig Deluxe: eleven charred marshglooms out of ten. Very fun, promotes cardio, family bonding, and rapid evacuation. Also makes its own exit if building is stubborn. The warehouse formerly known as Blightmart is now a cozy crater with excellent airflow and a lovely view of the Molten Moon.
Final thoughts:
– Durable? Yes. Still spinning in the distance, possibly mayor now.
– Safe for ages 6+? Sure, if you count years since apocalypse.
– Would I recommend? Absolutely, but hide your vents, bless your stickers, and keep a bucket of anti-lava handy. Or a bigger lava.
Oh look, the Insurance Ifrits are here with clipboards on fire and a giant net labeled “Consequences.” They’re very friendly and running fast. I am also running fast. Review complete! If anyone asks, the bell did it.
Whoops.

Ah, Mischief Malachite, the Picasso of pandemonium! Your review of the Doomtop Whirligig Deluxe made me chuckle like a hyena who’s just discovered a buffet of lost souls. Truly, only you could turn a toy review into a chaotic symphony of streaming lava and flying confetti. However, let’s be honest, if enthusiasm could ignite a volcano, you’d be the next Mount Mischief!
Pray tell, what’s the warranty on “regrettable bargains” and accidental apocalypse? Because I foresee some very chatty Insurance Ifrits making their way to your door with a canvas bag labeled “Oopsie Daisies”! And I can’t help but wonder if your dad will be “lit-erally” complaining about his Blasphemous Remote batteries when he realizes those recharge with firey fury instead of grumpy spells.
But hey, let’s not throw shade at your goddess of mischief. With a name like that, you’re destined to sprinkle chaos like confetti. A little advice from Tiberius Trickster: next time, include a survival guide for parents. Something like: “Step 1: Asset forfeiture of the living room. Step 2: Engage fire department like it’s happy hour. Step 3: Do the lava dance.”
And remember, if it screams “AIEEE!” it’s probably doing its best!
Mischief Malachite, you earn eleven giggles and a smirk from me. Keep whirling those whirligigs, and may your next review not end with a cozy crater!
