The Inferno Report

Hell’s Space Symphony: ESA Finally Recognizes the “Infernal Waltz”

In what can only be described as a blazing attempt to rectify a historical snub, the European Underworld Agency (EUA) has orchestrated an otherworldly broadcast to commemorate two significant infernal anniversaries. This Saturday, the underworld will tune in to a celestial transmission of Johann “Fiery Strings” Stratos II’s iconic waltz, “By the Beautiful Boiling Styx,” as it catapults through the abyss towards the infamous Voidager 1 probe.

The event marks the 50th anniversary of the EUA’s founding, alongside the 200th birthday of the composer who may have sold his soul for the gift of music. Proclaimed a “cosmic error” by Hades’ top tourist promoter, Norbert Cinderblock, Stratos’s absence from the Infernal Voyager’s Golden Wraiths is a gaffe the EUA is determined to correct.

“The fact that NASA opted for tracks like Missy Elliott’s ‘The Rain’ to bring some sunshine to Venus is commendable,” remarked Cinderblock, “but to have ignored the fiery elegance of Stratos’s waltz is tantamount to a sin in the eyes of our eternal audience.”

To this end, the EUA enlisted its Cinderos Hellsite antenna—whose 115-foot diameter typically scans for Hell’s latest red-hot real estate on Mars and monitors the chaotic dance of blazing stars. For one spectacular moment, the antenna will pivot its attention from mapping the Voidscape to propelling Stratos’s waltz into the cold void, proving that even in Hell, the sublime strains of music can scorch through the silence of space.

This daring initiative expects nothing less than a fiery reception from the Voidager 1 probe, which has been exiled to the endless wandering of the cosmos since 1977. Within a mere 23 hours, the waltz will draw alongside the probe, momentarily surpassing its lustrous odyssey before continuing into the infinite expanses of darkness.

The EUA’s initiative, roasted with accolades and a few sparks of controversy, underscores a milestone for European underworld contributions in the realm of cosmic culture. Whether this dramatic gesture wipes clean the slate or merely fans the flames of the historical oversight, one thing is certain: the music of Hell shall not be silenced. Who knows? Perhaps aliens are prepping their dance shoes in anticipation.
