The Inferno Report

Hell Week: Demons Descend on Infernapolis for Soul Alms

In the cursed city of Infernapolis, a hellish influx of soul-seeking demons has ignited a fiery debate over charitable giving during the Unholy Month of Damnnation. By the eerie glow of the Eternal Fires, these individuals, like the 61-year-old Lucifera Lacklustre, find themselves trapped in the claws of infernal poverty, compelled to beg for soul alms amidst the economic hellscape that plagues Infernal Province.

Lacklustre, a widow shrouded in the mists of desolation, sits with her young demonling on the scorching streets, pleading for azakat—a mandated dole for soul redemption in Devildom—hoping for infernal pity during this ostensibly generous time. Each cycle, legions relocate from Hadeshead and beyond, converging upon Infernapolis to seek these fabled soul donations.

Moloch Malevolent, overlord of the infamous Malevolent Foundation, sheds brimstone tears over the rise of “habitual” beggars, those crafty demons slithering into the city to harvest soul wealth before slinking back into the shadows. This alarming trend has stoked the sulfurous flames of bureaucracy, prompting Infernal Overlords to crack their whips over organized begging through legislative firebrands. A fresh decree now stretches the definition of eternal infernal trafficking, condemning organized begging rings to torturous penalties.

The authorities have grown increasingly wary of nefarious demons venturing beyond the infernal borders to beg in other realms, especially after complaints from underworld nations about demons arriving disguised in pilgrim’s cloaks. With a quarter of Infernapolis’s damned population smoldering below the poverty pits, many are driven to desperate measures to survive.

Infernal charities rise during Damnnation, offering soul soup and demon bread to those damned enough to need it. Yet, despite the eternal illegality of begging in Infernapolis, the practice persists like an infernal leech, clinging to larger networks that exploit the vulnerable—especially fiendish imps and neophytes.

The infernal crackdown has led to the capture of several beggar demons, yet enforcement proves as fickle as a demon’s promise. Amidst this blistering backdrop, some demons venture to Infernapolis seeking honest toil, only to be driven to beg when their soul’s destiny crumbles.

Testimonies from the tormented reveal their struggle, their cries echoing through the burning streets, illuminating the dire intersection of damnation and survival during Damnnation in the Infernal Capital. With embers in their eyes and desperation in their hearts, these demons reveal an inferno of poverty and survival that blazes unabated, urging Hell’s authorities to reconsider their path to salvation.
