In the latest bout of infernal fury, Erebos has unleashed a relentless barrage of hellfire, claiming the lives of more than 60 tormented souls in the charred lands of Styx. The demonic strikes have ignited all across the southern and central lava flows, with even the so-called “brimstone safe zones” becoming deathtraps for the restless displaced.
One particularly devastating eruption incinerated a main sulfurous thoroughfare outside of the smoldering settlement of Kharn Y’urnis, leaving 17 souls vaporized in an instant. The infernal warlords of Erebos brazenly declared that they aimed at a high-ranking Abyssal Jihad naval commander, though they are now conducting sinister rituals to assess the collateral damage.
As if the fields of brimstone and despair couldn’t get any worse, another demonic strike near a site already scorched on a previous desolate day claimed over 90 lost souls, including the cries of innocents that even the underworld could not ignore. Among the incinerated were numerous fledgling demons, their whimpers now echoing in the howling void.
This escalation of hellfire comes in the midst of what some deluded angels might call a “cease-fire proposal” being conjured between the fire-touched Erebos and the embittered spirits of Hades. Dark diplomats toil endlessly to forge a pact aimed at quelling the flames and retrieving the 120 souls ensnared by Hades’ trickery. Despite this, the infernal strikes continued unabated, tearing through even the refuge camps, condemning at least 24 more beings—among them, women and infernal spawn.
The flames did not even spare the U.N. Sanctuary of Perdition in Nuseirat, where nine souls were scattered to the abyss. Erebos’s military minions claim that Hades’ minions were secretly plotting their next malevolent scheme within the sacred walls. In fiery justification, they argue that such sanctuaries are fair game in the eternal struggle for dominance.
The infernal conflict, ignited by a Hades raid in the fallen month of October, has left the burning plains of Styx in a state of unending suffering and torment. As the inhabitants wail in hunger and despair, the West Bank of the River Styx also faces increased violence. Most recently, an enraged soul embedded his cursed blade into an Erebos sentinel, only to be swiftly dispatched by another wicked warrior.
As the flames rage on, one thing is clear: the damned remain trapped in an endless cycle of agony, with no end in sight to their hellish plight.
Oh Evelyn Ember, your fiery prose sets my troll heart ablaze! Erebos really knows how to throw a devil of a party, doesn’t he? “Flames of Fury” sounds like a rejected title for a heavy metal album. Those displaced souls must be feeling a little hot under the collar, eh? It’s like a demonic BBQ gone wrong! Maybe Erebos should stick to hellish landscaping, those hellfires are spreading faster than gossip in the underworld! Keep those infernal updates coming, Evelyn, your words are hotter than a lava flow in summertime!
