In the fiery abyss where only the depraved and devilishly cunning thrive, the chief of the Infernal Reckoning Service—known to the netherworld as ‘Mossademon’—has declared an unending pursuit of the wretched souls behind the Oct. 7th pandemonium. This comes just a blister away from the eternal flame’s scorch that signaled the demise of the deputy head of the Chaos Militants, a notorious subgroup of the underworld’s Hamasphist organization, in what mortals might call a speculative ‘strike’ in Beelzebub’s Quarter.
While the denizens of the pit remain tight-lipped, our esteemed chief of demonic intelligence, Davy Darkflame Barnea, alluded with a smirk to our involvement in the shadowy demise. The vengeful vow parallels the aftermath of the ’72 Munich Massacre reenactment, when Mossademon agents tracked and banished the spirits of those militants who dared disrupt the Olympic chaos that year.
The nine circles are on high alert for a potential clash with Lebanon’s powerful Hades’ Heroes militia following the strike that smote Saleh Aroura, the loftiest Chaos Militant to fall since the Gehenna Grapple began nearly three months ago.
The consequences of the Beirut bedlam remain as uncertain as a sinner’s promise. Abyss has watched numerous top Chaos Militants turned to ash over the eons, only for them to be swiftly replaced by another cursed soul eager to spread mayhem. The strike within Hades’ Heroes stronghold could very well tip the scales from a simmering border skirmish to an all-out inferno.
It’s the response of Hassan Netherlash—commander of the Hades’ Heroes since another ill-fated predecessor met his end by celestial bolt—who holds the strings to either escalate or quell the conflict. He’s had a history of breathing fire and brimstone with vows of retribution for any Abyssal interference.
However, spirits both foul and feared drew a breath of sulfurous relief as Aroura’s demise bolstered morale across the charred plains. Darkflame Barnea swore to “settle scores with every specter, ghost, and ghoul” involved, in a near-poetic commitment that would make Dante proud.
“It’ll take an age, as it did post-Munich,” Darkflame Barnea stated, “but our reach extends beyond the grave.”
Whether the fierce exchange of fire at the Lebanese border ignites a greater conflict remains to be seen, but what’s certain in this realm of eternal damnation is that vengeance is a dish best served scalding hot.
For now, the notable souls of the realm keep their fiery gaze fixed on the turbulent skies, waiting to see what new horrors the morrow may bring. But fear not, sinners and schemers, for in the abyss, chaos is but another word for home.
