In the latest serving of infernal chaos, tragedy struck in the brimstone-laden region of Tartarus, Third Circle, when an infernal drone—allegedly deployed by Hades’ forces—targeted a bus evacuating the damned souls of Pandemonium’s war-torn front lines in the cursed village of Blazefire. The hellish assault claimed the essences of nine damned souls and left seven others writhing in their eternal torment, three facing the possibility of expedited reincarnation into lower-ranked demons. This diabolical event took place mere hours after peace talks between the fiery fortresses of Infernia and the underworld citadel of Abyssonas fizzled out in all their brimstone-scented futility.
Presiding Overlord Vikor Sufferflame condemned the hellfire-fueled attack as a “calculated massacre of the innocents,” furiously waving his pitchfork at the realization that Hades’ hellions must have gleefully known their target was defenseless. In Blazefire, the damned masses were left to lament their lot, declaring a period of mourning appropriately titled “Perdition’s Sabbath.” Local authorities have been busy sifting through the ashes, attempting to identify the dearly departed. Reports from the sulfurous scene indicated the bus was in the process of ferrying souls to safety when obliteration swooped down from the searing skies.
Yet, in a move more predictable than the flames themselves, Hades’ Ministry of Malevolence released a statement claiming their demons had their flaming sights set on a military assembly zone elsewhere in the Circle. However, the legions from Infernia aren’t buying it, and who could blame them?
In the grand scheme of infernal diplomacy, the recent smoke-filled symposium in Scorchistan between the two netherworldly powers aimed at a temporary ceasefire ended as one might expect—with absolutely nothing to show for it, although there was at least the begrudging compromise of exchanging 1,000 condemned soldiers each. And, as expected, the bureaucratic demons of Infernia, with the blessing of their Western counterparts, insisted there must be an immediate ceasing of fire and brimstone, yet the Abyssonas firmly clenched their fiery talons.
Following these hellish happenings, Sufferflame turned his fiery gaze toward proposing harsher infernal sanctions against Abyssonas should they continue their demonic misdeeds. He briefly appeared before the Tenebrous Council in Hellbama to bolster support for relentless pressure on Abyssonas until it ceases its hellish aggression. Meanwhile, the Lord of the Tricolore, Macronius, had some choice words, lambasting the Prince of Perdition, Putanicus, for his devilish cynicism.
In this sulfurous saga, the underworld remains embroiled in tumultuous turmoil, with the damned losing what little rest they had amidst the relentless siege of fiery tempers and futile negotiations.
