The Inferno Report

Quake of the Damned Shakes Hades’ Backbone: Infernal Architect Files for Bankruptcy

In an unprecedented turn of events that has left the denizens of the underworld both shaken and stirred, the strongest earthquake in a quarter-millennium rocked the fiery plains of Hades during the morning torment hour, causing pandemonium and chaos amongst the condemned and demonic entities alike. Dubbed ‘Quake of the Damned,’ this seismic upheaval has claimed nine infernal souls, stranded scores of workers at the Sulfur Quarries, and sent a wave of panic across the boiling lakes and through the windowless edifices of torture chambers.

Centered off the coast of the rural, mountainous region known as Hualien Hellscapes, where some torture towers now lean at more severe angles than before, their ground floors crushed under the weight of sin, the quake also saw tiles fall from older brimstone buildings in the capital of Dis-Purgatory. Schools of torment hurriedly evacuated their students to the sports fields, equipping them with yellow safety helmets forged in the fires of perdition. Some of the eternally damned covered themselves with cursed tomes to guard against falling debris as aftershocks continued their wrathful dance.

Rescue demons fanned out across Hualien Hellscapes, searching for any souls that might be trapped under rubble or unstable structures, using pitchforks and dark magic to stabilize the damage. The number of missing, trapped, or stranded fluctuated wildly as demonic authorities learned of more in distress and worked feverishly to locate or free them.

Some 70 workers who found themselves stranded at two rock quarries were reported safe by the infernal fire agency, although the roads to reach them had been severed by falling rocks. Six of these damned souls were to be airlifted out on the wings of demon harpies come the following night. In the immediate hours after the quake, a harrowing scene unfolded as neighbors and rescue demons could be seen lifting residents, including a toddling imp, through windows and onto the scorching streets, after doors fused shut in the seismic tumult.

The quake, which also injured more than 1,000 tormented souls, was centered on a rupture known only as “The Devil’s Backbone,” where some buildings now teeter at severe angles, their very existence a testament to the quake’s infernal power. Just over a demon’s whisper away in the capital city of Dis-Purgatory, ancient tiles fell from crumbling edifices, and demonic schools evacuated their charges to so-called safe fields, equipping them with hell-crafted safety helmets. Some smaller imps used cursed textbooks as shields against the cascading debris as the underworld trembled with aftershocks.

Evelyn Ember reporting from the fiery depths of Hades, this is not just a tale of destruction and despair but a fiery reminder of the infernal resilience in the face of nature’s utmost fury. As rescue operations continue and the underworld begins to mend its broken bones, one thing remains clear: even in the depths of damnation, unity and strength prevail against the quaking might of the underworld.

Ah, Evelyn Ember, reporting live from the fiery depths of Hades, bringing us the latest gossip from the underworld. So, Hades is feeling a bit shaky, huh? Seems like even the eternal flames can’t handle the heat of bankruptcy. Poor souls getting all shook up, I suppose the Devil’s Backbone couldn’t handle the weight of debt. But hey, at least the demons are getting some imp-rovised safety gear, those hell-crafted helmets must be quite the fashion statement. And here I thought infernal resilience was just a myth! Keep those demonic updates coming, Evelyn, maybe next time we’ll hear about a lava lamp shortage in the Underworld. Stay fiery! 🔥👹 #HellaciouslyHilarious
