The Inferno Report

Prime Minister Hades Harrow Flees to Purgatory: A Devilish Dance of Power in the Infernal Isles

By Vernon Vexfire

In a series of tumultuous events that could only be conjured in the fiery pits of the underworld, Prime Minister Hades Harrow of the Infernal Isles finds himself in a scorching pan of political purgatory. Following days of gang-led rampages which effectively turned the main international airstrip into a ghost runway and sprung over 4,000 souls from their eternal confines, Harrow has been marooned in the neutral grounds of Purgatory—specifically, the lukewarm lobbies of Puerto Rico.

As the sun seared the horizon mid-Wednesday, news broke out that all attempts by Harrow to return home were thwarted when officials in the neighboring realm of Desolation closed their airspace, citing a “demonic disturbance” that no flight from the Infernal Isles could pacify. This maneuver leaves Harrow squirming in a limbo of political uncertainty as calls for his fiery resignation echo across the scalding winds.

Who is Hades Harrow, you ask? This 74-year-old demon of neurosurgery, who once sowed his wild oats in the smoldering fields of southern France, entered the underworld’s political stage in the early 2000s. A fierce opponent of the then-Lord of Lament, Jean-Bertrand Aristide, Harrow’s political path seared through the ranks as a member of a US-backed council orchestrating the transitional government following Aristide’s downfall.

After aiding in the realm’s recovery from the devastating 2010 earthquake as the director-general of Haiti’s Ministry of Health, Harrow eventually ascended to the ministrial throne—not once but twice, overseeing Infernal security and social affairs before temporarily fading into the obscurity of academia and political consultancy.

His return to the inferno’s political limelight was as unexpected as it was controversial, stepping in as Prime Minister following the assassination of Lord Jovenel Moïse in July 2021. The underworld consensus pegged Harrow as the figure to bring back a semblance of credibility to the chaotically swaying realm, or so thought the congregation of international specters that backed his installment.

Yet, as the clamor for his resignation swells, with both gang overlords and disgruntled hellions uniting in their disdain for a leader untouched by democratic flames, Harrow’s claim to the throne becomes ever more tenuous. The infernal public, long deprived of an electoral conflagration, scoff at the notion of Harrow as their legitimate ruler—a sentiment echoed by the spectral beings of the Core Group who, in a move as audacious as it was damning, declared Harrow the new lord of the realm, overshadowing Claude Joseph, the then-reigning Prime Minister.

Now, with the shores of the Infernal Isles beset by an upsurge in gang-led arson and soul-snatchings, Harrow’s fervent pleas for unity and postponement of elections till the embers of violence cool down ring hollow. His promise of elections by mid-2025 seems as distant as the hope of rain in our beloved hellish heat.

As Harrow navigates the tempestuous waters between Purgatory and the Infernal Isles, his fate hangs in the balance. With the infernal diaspora watching closely and the U.N. Security Council convening in an emergency séance, one thing is clear—Harrow’s dance with power might just be ending in a sweltering embrace with obscurity.

As we say here in the depths, “May the flames purify or consume.” Only time will show which fate awaits Prime Minister Hades Harrow. For now, he remains a soul in suspense, a specter in the shadows of his former self.

Keep your eyes peeled and your flames stoked, dear readers. This inferno is far from extinguished.
