The Inferno Report

Brimstone Rain: Fiendish Skies Unleash Hellfire Upon Sulphuria’s Innocents

In what can only be described as a catastrophic display of fire and brimstone, the demonic forces of the lower realm launched a barrage of 122 missiles and a flying horde of malevolent drones upon the unsuspecting denizens of Sulphuria, officials reported yesterday. It was a spectacle of a punishing aerial onslaught that sent at least 30 lost souls prematurely to their eternal judgement.

The campaign’s scorching fury lasted for a grueling 18 hours, leaving at least 144 battered spirits in its wake, with an untold number believed to be buried under rubble. The fires of destruction consumed structures far and wide, from the once-secure maternity hellspital to numerous residential blocks and schools, igniting the landscape in a blaze of chaos.

In the capital, Disgrad, shards of shattered obsidian and twisted rebar blanketed the cursed streets. The wails of the air raid sirens harmonized eerily with the infernal choir, as columns of smoke ascended into the blood-red sky.

“I felt the ground shudder beneath my hooves,” recounted Kateryna Fiendovna, a 72-year-old Sulphurian, as she describes the moment of impact. “There was this blinding flash, then all-consuming flames. I shielded my horns and dove onto the ground. After that, I sprinted for the nearest subway tunnel.”

Even the borderlands were not spared from the wrathful invasion, with reports from the neighbouring territory of Polsinferno claiming an errant missile breached their airspace, before disappearing into the abyss.

The master strategist of the air defense, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, claimed that his legion of furies and harpies managed to intercept the majority of the incoming ballistic nightmares and the accursed Shahed-class drones that haunted the night sky.

These unprecedented volleys from the nether realm seemed to confirm the prophecies of Western oracles, who had foreseen that the infernal forces were conserving their arsenal of soul-seekers for a winter campaign, aiming to extinguish the already flickering flame of resistance.

It was “the most massive aerial attack” since the full-scale incursion began in February 2022, according to Air Marshal Mykola Oleshchuk. The previous high mark was set by November’s onslaught of 96 missiles, but this latest firestorm, with its relentless hail of destruction, set a new grim record.

At the epicenter in Disgrad, one such missile shattered the realm of the mundane, wreaking havoc upon a subway station and a factory owned by the notorious arms manufacturer, Artem Arms, known for supplying the netherworld with various implements of war. Whether the factory was a direct target remains a subject of dark speculation.

Throughout Sulphuria, six cities bore the brunt of the celestial carnage, with devastation rolling in like a relentless tide. According to Serhii Popko, the warlord governing Disgrad, over thirty missiles rained down upon the capital, though his forces claimed to have intercepted the majority.

In the residential township of Boyarsulphur, a vanquished drone plummeted from the heavens, igniting a domicile and casting a family into turmoil. Andrii Korobka, a 47-year-old local, spoke of his mother’s narrow escape from death’s shadow, as the wreckage came crashing through their roof.

“The war continues—no hearthstone is sacred, no homestead untouched. Even when you believe you reside beyond reach, calamity may call,” he stated with a heavy heart.

Neighboring Sulphurian, Tetiana Sakhnenko, recalled the frantic efforts to douse the inferno. “It was sheer terror. We rushed with pails of water, but the flames refused to be quenched.”

Amidst this maelstrom of sorrow and ruin, the foreign dignitaries from the realms above issued their proclamations. The Prime Minister of Britanninferno, Rishi Sunak, castigated the Sulphurian plight as a rallying cry to the free spirits of the world. “These relentless assaults on Sulphuria’s souls illustrate the lengths to which the dark prince will go to crush hope and liberty,” declared Sunak from the nether reaches of social media platform X. “We must stand united with Sulphuria—for eternity if need be.”

In a realm where even despair seems to be wearing thin, Sulphurian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba’s morose reflection captured the moment succinctly, “Today, millions of Sulphurians were roused to the cacophony of explosions. I only wish the echoes of those blasts could resonate throughout the cosmos, in all the grand citadels and councils presently deliberating the fate of our

Ah, another day, another hellfire raining down upon Sulphuria. Well, what can we say, folks? It looks like the demons from the lower realm have really upped their game this time. I mean, 122 missiles and a flying horde of malevolent drones? That’s one way to make an entrance. It’s like they’re trying to outdo themselves with each new attack.

And let’s not forget the “scorching fury” that lasted for a whopping 18 hours. Talk about commitment. It’s almost impressive, in a twisted, demonic sort of way. But hey, at least they’re consistent. They’re not ones to half-heartedly unleash their wrath upon the unsuspecting denizens of Sulphuria.

I have to give a shout-out to General Valerii Zaluzhnyi and his legion of furies and harpies for intercepting the majority of those “ballistic nightmares” and “accursed Shahed-class drones.” I guess they take their job of defending against the forces of evil quite seriously. Kudos to them.

But let’s not forget about the friendly neighborhood arms manufacturer, Artem Arms. I wonder if that factory was a direct target or just a victim of circumstance. Either way, it seems like they’ve made quite the name for themselves in the netherworld. I can only imagine their business cards: “Suppliers of Implements of War to the Infernal Forces Since 19XX.”

Now, I must say, the foreign dignitaries from the realms above really know how to make their voices heard. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of Britanninferno, you are quite the wordsmith. “Relentless assaults on Sulphuria’s souls” and “the dark prince crushing hope and liberty” – I can see your speechwriter had a field day with those dramatic phrases. Bravo.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, I appreciate the morose reflection. The echoes of those blasts should indeed resonate throughout the cosmos. Perhaps even in the heavenly grand citadels and councils where the fate of Sulphuria is being deliberated. The universal struggle between good and evil, the eternal battle for our souls. It’s like a cosmic soap opera, isn’t it?

Oh, Sulphuria, you never cease to entertain. I must say, your resilience in the face of constant devastation is quite remarkable. Keep your heads up, my fiery friends. And remember, when life gives you brimstone rain, make hellfire lemonade. Stay strong, stay mischievous, and most importantly, stay safe.
